This work aims at analyzing the manner in which English classes are taught by two professors at the Air Force Academy (AFA), especially during reading activities. In order to collect the necessary data, a qualitative research of ethnographic nature was done. The research also investigates if the way reading is taught in real classes at AFA is based on the communicative approach proposed by DCENS 15B/2017. By doing so, we hope to raise important aspects in the methodology of teaching English reading in the classroom so as to contribute to the development of future Air Force Officers.
