UAVs in irregular conflicts:
analysis of usage dynamics

This article aims to analyze the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the context of irregular warfare. Through a guided theoretical foundation in the latest concepts and definitions about the asymmetric conflicts, the practical experiences of the use of drones and the data and information related to the results obtained during and after conflict, we seek to understand the dynamics of applicability of the equipment in question, taking into account especially its psychological impact in the many spheres of the societies involved, making a specific evaluation of the conflict in Afghanistan. This text does not aim finding exact answers, but lighten the scenario involving these two issues, which although much debated, have few national studies and profound difficulties of conceptualization and regulations due to the contemporaneity of them.
