In the course of military pilot taught in the 2nd year of the Air Force Academy, the related theoretical preparation requirement is very high. In this case, it becomes feasible to use methods of varied studies and the proposal of this work is to present to airmen cadets mind maps, describing them through some passages of flight manuals and stimulating its use within the Corps of Cadets. It is thought that the technique meets the type of study that asks the flight with lots of information to be stored and, therefore, could have the AFA fewer shutdowns in flight. To achieve the objectives, bibliographic searches will be conducted, survey of cadets about mental maps. The results were positive for the application and use of mind maps in study activities for flight instruction.
